and increasing your home's value
Tanking your basement increases the value of your home and makes it a healthier place to live.
Cementitious structural waterproofing (tanking) is the system we use to waterproof basements and earth retaining structures. It is especially useful where there are complicated shapes and flat ceilings.
The area to be tanked is cleaned and all dirt and debris is removed. This may involve sand blasting. Once this has been done a strong render coat is applied. Once the render coat has dried, Vandex BB75 is applied and left to cure. It is the Vandex BB75 which forms the waterproofing barrier. Once it has fully dried, finishes can be applied.
It is possible to combine cementitious basement waterproofing systems with cavity drain systems
